The capacity to train is a gift

he ability to train is a skill; the willingness to train is a choice.

When you have that choice, you can work with others to make it better. You can take chances, and hope for the best, and trust that your training will take you to the highest point of your life. You can be a beginner all you want, but once you take a jump, everything changes.

What does all this mean? For most people, there's a little push going on. A little "be careful" on the first day, a little "get your butt in gear" on the first run up a hill, a little "don't sweat it" on the first session. After a session, there's a little "good job, you did great today"; after a week, there's a big "oh you did great, I'm so proud of you". And they don't even want to admit to themselves what they're doing. We had a guy that used to come in training with a picture of himself working on a new bike every session. He'd say, "I'm riding my bike so I can eat." After a while, we asked him "How come you keep doing that every day?" His answer was, "It's my life, I want to do this." There are times in life when you need a jump to make a big difference. You need a big change for the better to occur in your life. And a jump rope can be very useful in this case.

A big change in the big picture for your life. Training is a great example of this. If you want to become the best version of you, then you have to first be the best version of you. If you want to have the best version of you, you must first become the best version of yourself. There are a couple of things you'll need to consider. A person is an individual, and an individual can change. A person's choices and actions can make him or her a better ropeflower.
